An Introduction: Healing to Wholeness

Fall 2006 Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UAH
October 5 - November 16, Thursdays 2:45-4:15pm

Throughout life and especially in childhood we often disowned parts of ourselves that we feared would appear as ‘bad’ or ‘wrong’. The price we pay for our sense of ‘goodness’ is a fragmented state of being which often steals or infringes on our experiencing life fully in joy and acceptance. “Wholeness” work provides understandings and perspectives needed to enable people to remove inner blocks in order to enjoy what they desire in life. The tools used to discover the self love necessary to heal are adapted from hypnotherapy, NLP, psychic awareness, somatic awareness, metaphysics, shamanism, transpersonal psychology, and Right Use of Will. In a classroom setting meaningful “Healing to Wholeness” may be accomplished without sharing personal information.

Course in Forgiveness

Spring 2006 Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UAH
March 28 - May 28, Tuesdays 2:45 - 4:15pm

The purpose of this course is to find deeper and more authentic expressions of your true character and nature by providing safe and doable ways for you to release judgments and resentments. In order to accomplish this, the process of forgiveness will be introduced using spiritual and psychological tools. The tools will then be applied to forgiving others, self, and life.

Dealing With Guilt

Winter 2006 Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UAH
January 5 - February 2, Thursdays 2:45 - 4:15pm

Nearly everyone experiences guilt in one form or another. Most people would agree that we are our own worst critics often taking the roles of prosecutor, judge, and executioner. This course takes a look at sources of guilt, whether the guilt is from other people in the form of criticism or whether it is self-imposed, and offers methods for resolution. Guilt imposed on us by others is often an attempt to manipulate us. Self-imposed guilt is often derived from out-dated and sometimes subconscious values. These values were adopted by us early in life and conflict with newer values we may have chosen. Guilt is a strong motivating force but always detracts from creative responses. Learn to free yourself from guilt and become more open to new choices available to you.
